Overview
Nursing is one of the most emotionally demanding professions in the world, and in Lebanon, the burden is particularly acute. Years of compounding crises, including economic collapse, political instability, the Beirut port explosion, and ongoing conflict, have placed Lebanon’s nursing workforce under extraordinary and sustained pressure.
Hospitals have been forced to lay off staff, and deteriorating patient-staff ratios have led managers to impose compulsory overtime without financial compensation.
Healthcare workers in Lebanon are continuously exposed to challenging environments, including long working hours, irregular shifts, intensified physical and emotional demands, continuous exposure to death, and workplace violence. Yet despite carrying this weight, nurses rarely receive the support they need.
This training is designed specifically for nurses who give everything to their patients, often at the cost of their own well-being. Across the focused sessions, participants will explore the hidden emotional toll of nursing, develop practical communication skills for challenging workplace situations, and build a personalized self-care toolkit grounded in evidence-based models.
