Beyond Burnout: Wellbeing, De-escalation, and Resilience for Nurses

Beyond Burnout: Wellbeing, De-escalation, and Resilience for Nurse

Overview

Every nurse knows what it means to push through. To absorb the weight of a difficult shift, a traumatic case, or a colleague’s absence, and show up the next day and do it again. In Lebanon, that weight has become structural. Years of compounding crises have left the nursing workforce stretched beyond what any profession should sustain, often without adequate staffing, compensation, or institutional support.

This training is built on a simple premise: nurses cannot continue to give what they are never helped to replenish. Designed specifically for nurses working in Lebanon’s demanding clinical environments, it moves beyond generic self-care advice to address the real emotional toll of the profession, burnout, moral injury, secondary trauma, and the cumulative cost of caring under crisis conditions.

Participants will develop practical de-escalation skills to manage high-tension clinical situations with confidence, build effective communication strategies for navigating difficult workplace dynamics, explore evidence-based frameworks for protecting their own wellbeing, and construct a personalized self-care plan they can sustain beyond the training room. The goal is not resilience as endurance, it is resilience as a clinical and professional skill that nurses deserve to be taught.
